The meeting was brought to order at 1:05 p.m. by Council President Den Graeber.

Secretary's Report - see written report for December 3, 2001

MOTION MADE BY BOB EICHELBERGER TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 3, 2001 COUNCIL MEETING AS WRITTEN. Seconded by Fred Gehlhaar. MOTION CARRIED.

Minutes for the January 7, 2002 Council Meeting were not as yet ready.

Treasurer's Report - no written report

Fred has been busy finalizing 2001. Quarterly and year end taxes being done. $7,000 has been paid to principal reduction on the mortgage.

Stewardship Committee - see written report of January 22, 2002

MOTION MADE BY MELISSA GOSCHKA TO ACCEPT HOLLY PLUNKETT, CARL MALKEWITZ, JIM TEAHAN, RICHARD WELLMAN AND GREGG VICARY AS MEMBERS OF STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE FOR 2002. Seconded by Bob Eichelberger. MOTION CARRIED.

MOTION MADE BY MELISSA TO APPROVE THE LENTEN OFFERINGS FOR 2002 TO BE SPLIT BETWEEN REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH AND WYCLIFF MISSIONARIES. Seconded by Fred Gehlhaar. Discussion followed. MOTION CARRIED. Redeemer Lutheran needs $250.00 now for roof repairs. MOTION MADE BY MELISSA GOSCHKA TO PAY $250.00 TO REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, IN ADVANCE OF THE LENTEN OFFERINGS, TOWARD REPAIR OF THEIR ROOF. Seconded by Fred Koos. This $250.00 is to come out of Stewardship's budget until offerings are received. MOTION CARRIED.

MOTION MADE BY ERNIE ZAKRAJSEK TO APPROVE TONY HOLLAND, MARGO HOLLAND, MIKE JUSSILA, ERNIE NOSTRANT, RUSS RIGGS, AND GREG OSBURN AS MEMBERS OF PROPERTY COMMITTEE FOR 2002. Seconded by Matt Cermak. MOTION CARRIED.

Church will be painted beginning February 4th and take around two weeks. Funding will come out of the new construction budget. Remainder of report as written.

NEW BUSINESS

MOTION MADE BY MATT CERMAK TO APPOINT GARY LASS, GARY REED AND SCHERRIE BRYANT AS THE AUDIT COMMITTEE FOR 2002, PER THE RECOMMENDATION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT DEN GRAEBER. Seconded by Bill Paulins. Discussion followed. The audit needs to be done by the end of February. MOTION CARRIED.
