TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 8, 2007 COUNCIL MEETING AS MODIFIED STRIKING AN EXTRANEOUS PARENTHETICAL THOUGHT.

Treasurer's Report:

Mike reviewed the January 2007 Treasurer’s Report

TO EQUALLY SPLIT LENTEN OFFERINGS, INCLUDING ASH WEDNESDAY, MAUNDY THURSDAY AND GOOD FRIDAY OFFERINGS, BETWEEN LIVING WATERS MINISTRIES, THE GOOD SAMARITAN FUND AND THE PASTOR’S DISCRETIONARY FUND.

UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED.

Council Goals:

Initiate the Natural Church Development program -- Pr. Schleicher has advised that a Natural Church Development representative will attend the March Council Meeting to further explain the program.
Monitor the Success of the Resource Teams
Encourage members to find their ministry

TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY RUSSELL NEBELUNG TO USE FELLOWSHIP HALL ON THURSDAYS FROM 3-7 PM THROUGH THE MONTH OF MARCH, IF NECESSARY, TO TEACH GUITAR LESSONS

Planning Calendar:

February – Audit team (pres), approve team members, Designate Lenten Offering, Plan Girl Scout Sunday (Preparing), Begin Plans for VBS (Preparing), Plans For Easter Breakfast (Gathering), Plans for Easter service and plants (Gathering), Host Boy Scout Sunday, Organize Nominating Committee.

TO APPOINT LEE BAIR AND CINDY McCORMICK TO THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE FOR 2007
