COUNCIL MEETING

Minutes

March 6, 2000

The meeting was brought to order at 7:35 p.m. by Council Vice-President Larry Kruth. Property Committee opened with devotions.

Secretary's Report - see written minutes of January 29, and February 13, 2000.

MOTION MADE BY DEN GRAEBER TO ACCEPT THE SECRETARY'S REPORTS OF THE JANUARY 29, 2000 AND FEBRUARY 13, 2000 COUNCIL MEETINGS AS WRITTEN. Seconded by Jean Folk. MOTION CARRIED.

Treasurer's Report -see written final report of January 2000

Pat reviewed and explained report. Questions were answered. A couple numbers needed to be checked on. Need to accept report at April meeting.

REPORTS

Stewardship Committee - no written report

No meeting because of cottage meetings - will have meeting in March. No Council Action required.

Worship Committee - see written report for February 1, 2000

There are more adults than youth attending the Xtreme Worship. Trying to find ways to attract more Youth. Kendall will try to get youth to make a new sign for outside, as well as other things. Remainder of report as written. No Council Action required.

Youth Committee - see written report of February 15, 2000

Discussion on having parental medical release forms for youth attending events. Youth will implement this. Remainder of report as written. No Council Action required.

Management Committee - see written report of February 16, 2000

Plans to replace the copy machine are on hold - we still have a year to go on the lease. Fred Roush is trying to get all parties involved in the school emergency plan together for a meeting. Remainder of report as written. No Council Action required.

Old Business

Reminder of Special Congregational Meeting on Sunday March 12th to recommend accepting the final report of the Youth and Family Ministry Task Force. Pastor brought up that in 1987, an assistant was part of the plan for 10 years.

New Business
There was no new business.

The Council Planning Calendar was reviewed.

Next Council meeting will be April 3, 2000 at 7:30 p.m.
