Meeting called to order at 6:40 by Matt Cermak.

Devotions and prayer by Pastor Rick.

Preparing

Treasurer's Report:

Motion to approve April 2008 Treasurer’s Report by Tom Mattson. Seconded by Dave Kuntzsch.

Motion carried.

Review of Previous Council Minutes:

Motion to approve April 2008 council minutes by John Kingsley. Second by Dan Landry.

Motion carried.

Team Reports:

Pastor Rick’s report. No council action.

Support Team: Written report submitted. No Council action required.

Gathering Team: Written report submitted. No Council action required.

Preparing Team: Written report submitted. No Council action required.

Serving Team: Written report submitted. Motion by David Kuntszch to approve a fundraiser by the Earthkeeping team to raise money over the summer months by issuing banks to volunteers along with a list of good earthkeeping practices. When practices are not followed, participants will deposit “fines” into the banks. At the end money will be donated to the Heifer project. Seconded by Dan Landry. Motion carried.

New Business:

Barb Roush requests permission to raise funds for the parsonage demolition by selling shirts with Immanuel’s logo.

Motion to approve by Dan Landry. Second by Dave Kuntzsch. Motion carried.

Pat Graeber and Teresa Barcy brought a proposal before Council to develop the memorial area where the Chinese Maple was recently removed. They request permission to begin work as soon as possible to create a gathering area with two benches. As this area is currently unsightly and planting season is upon us, council consensus is to allow Pat Graeber and Teresa Barcy to oversee the project. Dave Kuntzsch agreed to grade the area and have topsoil delivered this week. Dave will also contact the roofing contractor for a repair to the gutter that is overflowing into this area.
