Mike called the meeting to order @ 6:37 p.m.

Approval of the July 9, 2007 minutes:

TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JULY 9, 2007 COUNCIL MEETING.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.

Treasurer's Report:

Mike Proper reviewed the June 2007 Treasurer’s Report. 

MOTION by Teresa Barcey SECONDED by David Kuntzsch

TO  APPROVE THE JUNE 2007 TREASURER’S REPORT

UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED

Mike Proper reviewed the July 2007 Treasurer’s Report.

Old Business:

Natural Church Development: Mike contacted Bruce Bellanger.  September will be the start of gathering data. 

Small Group Ministry Coordinator:  Teresa Barcy developed a position description for a Small Group Coordinator.  It was determined to wait for Pastor Rick’s return for further discussion. 

New Business:

Teams:  Each team needs to identify a chairperson by the next council meeting. this will allow for a contact point within each team that will lead meetings and field questions.

Youth Fundraiser:  Immanuel youth are planning a bake sale/car wash fundraiser the afternoon of August 25^th after 2:00 pm.

TO APPROVE THE BAKE SALE/CAR WASH FUNDRAISER ON AUGUST 25^TH AFTER 2:00 PM.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.

Closing

Planning Calendar:

• August – VBS, organize first communion & confirmation classes, begin prep for annual budget, plans for Sunday School Rally Day, recruit Sunday School teachers, plan fall clean up, nominating committee seeks to fill vacant Council positions.

Announcements:

Announcements preceding the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Service will be given by the following Council Members.

Our next regular meeting is on September 10, 2007 at 6:30 pm
