Mike called the meeting to order @ 6:38 p.m.

Teresa opened with prayer.

Judy Koos attended in regards to using the kitchen.. She wants to start a dessert/candy business.  Discussion included the fact that the church schedule has to be followed first.  Her kitchen should be ready by spring.

MOTION by Teresa Barcy and SECONDED by David Kuntzsch to allow Judy Koos to use the church’s kitchen facilities until her home kitchen is ready, as dictated by the Support Team.

Team Reports:

Serving Team: Written report submitted.  No Council action required.

Preparing Team: Written report submitted.  Request discussion on bulletin board requests, specifically Elizabeth Ayoub requesting a board for the Environmental Task Force.  Most requests for bulletin boards would come to Preparing, so leave approval up to the Preparing Team.  No Council action required.

Gathering Team: No written report.  No Council action required.

Support Team: No report submitted.  No Council action required.

Serving

Old Business:

Natural Church Development: We are awaiting to hear back from the Synod on the survey forms.

New Business:

Proposed 2008 Budget:  Proposal will be taken back to Support for recommendation on key items.

Discussion on Sabbatical Senior Pastor Fund.

MOTION by Gregg Vicary SECONDED by David Kuntzsch to move the remaining funds of the Sabbatical Senior Pastor fund to the Building Fund to coincide with at least three (3) months buffer.

Planning Calendar:

• October – Council Approves Budget, Mail Proposed budget and nominations to congregation, Announce annual budget meeting, Stewardship Program, Host First communion celebration, Begin plans for Christmas service and flower orders.
• November – Annual Meeting,  Destroy Ballots from Annual Meeting, Community Thanksgiving service, Designate Advent Offering, Invite new council members to December meeting, Announce Hanging of the Greens and Stewardship Drive.

Pastor Rick has asked Carl Ballard to assist him during a couple of Sunday sermons as part of Carl’s training.
