Team Reports:

Pr. Rick’s Report: Written report.  No Council action required at this time.  Pastor has a list of new members that was shared with us and discussed. It may or may not change before new members are received on Dec. 9^th. Pastor will advise us of any changes and council will approve them via e-mail prior to the 9^th, followed up with a confirming vote at the next meeting.

Serving Team: Written report submitted.  No Council action required.

Gathering Team: No written report.  No Council action required.  In response to comments received from members, Gathering is trying to develop ways to remind members to be more reverent in the sanctuary on Sundays.

Serving

Old Business: 

Budget concerns:  The budget deficit has increased this month.  We need to maintain awareness of the deficit.

Natural Church Development: The Synod has been contacted three times, but we can’t get a sufficient response.  Pr. Rick will contact them.

Small Group Ministry Coordinator:  Teresa Barcy and Dennis Graeber presented the position description for a new Small Group Ministry Coordinator.  The Task Force is suggesting Denise Lund as the Small Group Ministry Coordinator after shedding some of her current responsibilities to a new Office Assistant position. 

Some concerns were raised about whether Denise could maintain some administrative responsibilities and still effectively perform the new Small Group Ministry responsibilities. Council requested that the task force meet again and further define a job description specific to the proposed Small Group coordinator position and after doing so present again to council for review/approval.

Piano Fundraiser:  Currently, about $16K has been raised.  Immanuel visited Reeder Piano again and learned they are re-building a piano that will sell for $18K.  This has become Immanuel’s second choice piano.  The piano fundraiser will be extended to December 18, 2007 to see if we can raise the $26K for our first choice piano or increase giving to at least $18K to be able to purchase the second choice.
